Alastor Land or "Havent I seen you someplace before ?? "

Episode 4: Nov 1, 2007

As the voice continued to mock them, the party recoiled in terror as a large worm octopus thing reared from out of the iron balled flooring. They quickly moved to attack it, tkaing note that as they moved on the uneven floor, things got difficult. Those heroes still on the traversing beam also had a hard time, as iron balls flew at them with no stoping. The creature readily hit all those around it and made its way towards the mage as he seemed to be the only member to have hit it and done damage. The war of attrition started and stopped as the party finally cornered the creature and the mage put it out of its misery.

With no time to spare, they spied a form emerge from the walls and advance towards them. As they readied their weapons, they were assailed by the mental might of the creature. Sadly the elvish ranger succumbed to it, and was possessed by the form. Alastor Land had introduced himself to the party. He told them of his plight and the past years of torment and failure that he had endured within the tombs walls. He offered them a chance at the untold and untouched riches that lay beyond the unopenable door. If they can return his bones and lay them alongside the rest of his family then he could finally rest in peace. As the party members discussed this, he emphasized his point by breaking a couple of the elvish hosts fingers. The party finally realised they were dealing with a malevolent and crazed ghost.

Once outside of the tomb, they quickly made their way back to Alustan's home and told him everythign that was going on. He told them where the farmstead area of Diamond Lake could be found, told them he would look up all the references to Rod of 7 Parts, Dukes of Aquaa, and the names found previously on the epitaphs within the tomb. The party then made their way to the farmstead of Alastor Land. And prompty got bitch slapped by an unhappy mother owlbear.

With a mighty roar and terrible smacking, the party members emerged into the Land's abandonned home, to see the body of the halfling hit the far wall and rebound to the floor like a wet bag of cement. With another mighty roar the owlbear made its way towards the rest of the party in order to protect its now apparent and frighten cub. Mighty blows fell upon the party who eventually vanquished the maternal enemy, took as their own its cub, and looked in astonishment at the revival of their fallen comrade. AS they rested up, they noticed that the graves of the Land's had all been dug up and the bones of the family members were missing. They also found evidence of priors disturbers to the owlbears new lodgings ie : an arm with a unique tattoo seen within the Feral Dog bar in town.

They made their way back to town where they put up the owlbear cub in a shelter, talked to Alustan, and prepared to go and talk to poeple in Feral Dog. Once there, they roleplayed badly and scared off the barowner but not before they found out that Kullen and his gang would be there later (owners of the tattoo on the tattooed arm) and that another adventuring group were poking around asking questions

who was this other group? How would Kullen reacted to them? Stay tuned ....
