The Champion's Belt - Gladiators unite and a request

Episode 3: Nov 9th, 2009

Fearing the worse, the party continue their assault on the remaining members of the rival gladiator teams. Arriga's arrow assault continue unabated and hurts the teams tremendously, though they dont seem to be firing at the party. Launching a valiant assault, the party dispatch the remining members of hte other 2 teams before turning thier attention towards the elven lasses clad in chainmail handling strong sturdy smooth shafts..err...pardon me.

As they eye each side up, one of the elven ladies saunters over and declares that they are forfeiting the tournament. Surprised by this development, the crowd quickly regail the party and herald their accomplishment. Lord Raknian is visibly confused and momentaryily shocked but controls himself as he hands to Ekayme the winnings of this fight. The party make their way back down below to the Kenoebby where they find an intruder in their room .

They are quickly told a background of the new guy and he decides to join up with them post haste. He also tells them of an ulterior motive for Ekayme getting them to be HIS gladiators. He is searching for his sister Lakhana who was last seen in the arms of Lord Loris Raknian. Seems she was his lover but disappeared abotu 1 yr ago. Ekayme would like the party to search under the Champions Games for her or any clue to her disappearance. He can look topside but the underneath is closed to all but gladiators. This is another of your missions, should you choose to accept it.

The party have some downtime as other gladiatorial battles ensue above. They decide to go question the Elven Arriga team as to why they forfeited their tournament even though they seemed destined to win the day. The elven ladies are not too forthcoming with answers but the party get the impression that they were there in some sirt of revenge capacity. Vengeance and Justice was served. They also discover that things are not what they seem with the games. Team pairings are not always random as gold money and favors can be bought and sold to procur whatever is needed as well as seeding. Team Arriga mention that the chef Belgrim could help them out.

Armed with this happenstance knowledge, the party discuss how they will proceed but are soon interrupted by a disturbance, a commotion coming from one of the hallways leading into the center chamber of the Kennoeby. Turns out, the party are witnessing a beat down by the guards on a dwarf. Their ears perk up when they hear that the dwarf is none other then Belgrim. seems he is being reprimanded for something previously done. Some quick thinking by the newest party member allows them to interced on Belgrim's behalf saving him from further beatings. To show his appreciation, he asks them to follow him downstairs to the kitchen were they can discuss things more privately.

Once within Belgrim's domain, he explains that he is the true power of the underneath. If they want something, want a certain 'spot' in the games then he can obtain it for them. The party explain their dilemma of finding out what happened to Ekayme's sister. He explains that awhile ago some adventurers were looking into the rumours of ghouls being trapped, by Lord Raknian, behind some plug deep in the underneath of the Kenoebby. They never returned. $$ is exchanged for info and passes throughout the tunnels. The party notices increased defensive activity in some corridors.

The party makes their way deeper in the depths, during their downtime. They enter into what was once a secluded religious temple and find a filled water hole with what appears to be a plug in the otherside wall. They EVNETUALY make their way over to it, unplug it EVENTUALLY, and then are beseiged, on the other side by some ghouls. A quick fight, that was getting tedious to Steve, erupts and ends and plans for more spelunking are made<\p>
